Better OS upgrade?

Which do you think was a better overall OS upgrade? Microsoft's Vista or Apple's Leopard? In terms of new features and an overall better update I'd say Leopard for a few reasons:

Compatibility with all the old applications and devices, unlike Vista...

More real features.

Quicker and faster install.

Instead of piling up layer upon layer of code, Apple keeps it compact instead of requiring more and more performance with each OS like Windows.

Shorter time between OS releases for Apple (much shorter).

Which OS do you think was a better overall upgrade (not which computer is better Mac vs. PC)?

You should compare XP and Leopard...

I hope you realize that Vista is worse than XP.

Vista is not an upgrade. It is secondhand ideas that have been crapped up alongside the usual bloat. XP > Vista.

...of course, I use Linux.

Either way, Leopard has actual good ideas in it.

What is so bad about vista? (i can see me getting flamed) Sure you need alot of memory for it to run properly and stuff but it looks good!

whats the diffrance between vista and xp. my laptop is vista and my computer is xp. the only thing i notice different is the new theme where they changed the start button.

If you're into those sort of graphics, and fractal wallpapers.
And besides, OS's are usually supposed to let you control it, not the other way around. I have Vista on my current laptop, and tbh, I don't really enjoy it as much as I enjoy working on an Mac (which I found much less of a hassle).

I prefer linux so from a neutral standpoint...you sound like a hardcore vista fanboy who'd rather try to shoot down everyone who uses Mac than post WHY the OS he has chosen is a better upgrade.

So lets hear it. Why is vista a better upgrade? We all know it has some cool visuals. Besides that, what does it have? Oh and don't just set there and post how much leopard fails.
